Fulham Broadway station building is just the ticket for Wetherspoons

JD Wetherspoon has signed an agreement with CBRE Investment Management to lease a new pub at the site of the former Fulham Broadway underground station ticket hall at 472 Fulham Road, SW6.

The Grade II listed building comprises 7,330 sq ft at ground floor level with 2,196 sq ft at first floor, including a roof terrace. Wetherspoons has signed the lease for 30 years.

The new pub will be called Walham Green, the original name of the Fulham Broadway underground station and the historic, listed ticket booth will be preserved as a feature in the new bar.

The building has previously accommodated food operators including TGI Friday’s to Union Market. It was last occupied by Market Halls, which operated a food court from 2018 to 2020. The building has remained vacant since then.

Wetherspoons submitted a planning application to convert the food court into a pub last year and received the permission in March this year. The new pub is expected to open in the new year.
