The owner of out-of-town shopping complex Fosse Park, near Leicester, has been given the first option to buy Everards Brewery's 13 acres (5.2ha) at Castle Acres.
Everards' site adjoins the shopping centre, which is owned by Hercules Park Unit Trust.
