Former Dublin school set for resi redevelopment

Dublin City Council has approved Dwyer Nolan Developments’ plans to redevelop the former De La Salle National School into 927 homes.

The site located in Ballyfermot, Dublin, will be redeveloped into eight plots, ranging from two to 13 storeys.

The homes will be a mix of one to three bedrooms and will include two acres of community space and a 10,000 sq ft childcare facility.

The development will include spaces for 687 cars, 26 motorcycles and 2,249 cycles.

The spaces between plots will allow for the construction of an additional commercial unit and a retail or café unit.

The development includes two protected staircase structures that will undergo renovation to be included within one of the approved eight residential plots.
