Filton airfield to fly again as housing and tech hub

Filton airfield was bought by YTL, a Malaysian construction conglomerate that has been on the margins in Britain without ever building a significant presence here, for £120m five years ago.

YTL is now planning to redevelop the 350-acre airfield into 5,000 homes and a commercial cluster of small aerospace and technology companies.
