The Fiera Real Estate Ekiden campaign is returning this year to fundraise to support Grace Academy in Coventry, a secondary school with 850 pupils whose catchment area includes some of the poorest parts of the UK.
The challenge takes place from 13 to 15 May and will involve teams of five to 10 people walking, running or cycling to cover the greatest distance while raising the most money. Each team will have a target of 50km or 100km, depending on the number of members.
The event aims to raise £20,000 for a new school library and library books, as well as revision and learning support for the academy’s pupils, whose lives and education have been significantly impacted by Covid-19 and social inequality.
