Facebook’s Rob Cookson to headline EG’s TechTalk Academy

Facebook’s head of real estate, Rob Cookson, is to be the headline speaker at the EG TechTalk Academy on 15 November.

TechTalk-Academy-x3The social media giant’s property leader will be providing insights into the company’s occupational strategy, how the company looks to work with developers and its use of proptech.

The evening event, in partnership with Pi Labs, CBRE and KPMG, will be held at British Land’s New Diorama Theatre at Regent’s Place, NW1 and Facebook’s neighbouring headquarters.

The final five selected start-ups with be invited to pitch to to a stellar panel of judges that will determine the ultimate winner or winners.

They are:

  • Dominic Wilson – managing partner, Pi Labs.
  • Nick Leslau – chairman, Prestbury.
  • Dave Eisenberg – senior vice president of digital enablement and technology, CBRE.
  • Chris Grigg – chief executive, British Land.
  • Mike Sherwood – former co-head of Europe, Goldman Sachs.

CBRE and KPMG will also be presenting new research and insights into the evolution of the proptech sector and the way that they are working alongside the start-up community.

The event is also open to anyone in the industry keen to learn more about proptech and get an early insight into the next big thing in real estate.
