Howard Dawber, the former strategy lead for Canary Wharf Group, has been named Sadiq Khan’s new deputy London mayor for business.
He takes the post from Rajesh Agrawal, who is running to be the next Labour MP for Leicester East.
Dawber spent almost two decades at Canary Wharf Group as a strategic adviser and then managing director for strategy. In that role, he worked on 10m sq ft of development across six sites in London, the London 2012 Olympic bid and the Crossrail project design.
He left the group in 2022 to set up his own urban development consultancy.
