EG brings Cheltenham to Cannes
Estates Gazette is giving MIPIM-goers the opportunity to step away (not too far away) from the madness of the conference and revel in the excitement of the Cheltenham Races.
Join editor Damian Wild and the EG team at Morrisons Irish Pub on Thursday 17 March to catch some of the races, including the Ryanair Chase and the Ladbrokes World Hurdle.
The event falls on St Patrick’s Day, so you can call upon some Irish luck to win an EG sweepstake, which will be organised on the day, and enjoy Irish-themed libations with colleagues and other industry professionals.
The event supports LandAid and is being hosted in association with Xavier Pullen, Bluefin, Innesco, Helical Bar and Malcolm Hollis.
Find us between 2.30pm-5.30pm at Morrisons Irish pub, 10 Rue Tessiere.

Money talks in Yorkshire schools
Children in Yorkshire will be taught about money management to help them achieve financial stability and success later in life, thanks to a donation from third-party mortgage provider HML.
HML has gifted the Money Charity £20,000, which will fund 100 hours of workshops for 2,500 youngsters across the county.
Andrew Jones, chief executive of HML, said: “HML is fully committed to playing a leading role in the creation of a northern powerhouse, not only through financial success and growth, but also through supporting communities, sharing knowledge and investing in the future of Yorkshire and beyond.”
Michelle Highman, who heads the charity, said: “A third of us face financial problems by the time we are 24. With support from HML, the Money Charity can begin to foster positive relationships with money and make sure that young people never slip into financial problems simply because they don’t have the skills to manage.”
The only way is up as Tower 42 welcomes property climbers
Tower 42 is again opening its doors – well its staircase – to the masses to help raise money for homeless charity Shelter.
The iconic tower, owned by South African tycoon Nathan Kirsh, is hosting Vertical Rush, a 42-floor, 932-step race to the top of the City building.
The event takes place on 8 March, with the first wave of runners setting off at 7.30am – what better way to work up an appetite for breakfast!
Enter as an individual or team and help Shelter raise more than £360,000.
Barry Rushmer, general manager of Tower 42, said: “Tower 42 is proud to be hosting this important fundraiser for the eighth year in a row. When homelessness levels in the capital are at their highest in over a decade, the money raised to support Shelter’s work is more crucial than ever.
“Vertical Rush has become a landmark event in the capital’s calendar, and we look forward to welcoming more runners than ever this year.”
