Electric car company charges up HQ at Schroders scheme

A technology company specialising in electric vehicles has doubled the size of its London headquarters by taking the entirety of an office building in a Schroders-owned scheme in west London.

Arrival had already let 41,000 sq ft in Beaumont House in Kensington Village, W14, a campus owned by Schroder UK Real Estate Fund that has seen Victorian warehouses concerted into office buildings.

It has been increasing the amount of space it leases since an initial 5,000 sq ft deal.

Now the company has agreed to boost its space there to 80,000 sq ft, taking the entire building on a 15-year lease.

Jessica Berney, fund manager of Schroder UK Real Estate Fund, said: “Environmental, social and governance is an integrated element of our investment approach so expanding our collaboration with a pioneer in sustainable development is central to SREF’s strategy.”
