Monday

The Labour Party Annual Conference kicks off in Liverpool, and will be attended by cabinet ministers, metro mayors, MPs, and policy experts. Key debates on the direction and detail of Labour’s NHS and New Deal plans are expected to be among the first on the agenda.

Real Estate Investors is expected to update the market with its half-year financial results. Last month, the company said it is pleased with its performance year-to-date, with positive sentiment rolling into the second half of 2024.

Tuesday

Labour Party Annual Conference continues, exploring the party’s take on its clean growth mission. In the afternoon, the attendees will hear Keir Starmer’s leader’s speech.

Barratt is expecting its plans to deliver 262 homes across six buildings to get approval from Lewisham Council’s planning committee. The blocks of flats will range in height between six and 14 storeys and will also provide 8,405 sq ft of flexible retail and office space at ground floor, public realm, living roofs, amenity space, and cycle and car parking.

Wednesday

Labour Party Annual Conference ends, drawing to a conclusion on the pressing issues facing the government.

Thursday

Life Science REIT will report on its performance so far this year as it moves to the next phase of its business development and further accelerates leasing activity. In its most recent update, the firm highlighted its focus on asset management as it expects the equity markets to remain closed for some time effectively.

Dar Global will also report its financial results for the first half of 2024. In its most recent update, the company noted that it is actively pursuing projects in target markets, including the UAE, UK, US and Saudi Arabia, as it continues to see sustained demand for its properties from buyers who looking to invest in luxury homes across international locations.

Persimmon Homes will keep its eyes on Leeds as the council is expected to grant approval for a 528-home scheme on York Road. The development forms part of the East Leeds extension, which spans 575.8 acres around the edge of Red Hall, Swarcliffe, Whinmoor and Crossgates, and will deliver up to 5,000 homes.

In Manchester, a duo of residential projects is set for approval during the city council’s planning committee meeting. Developer CERT Property has tabled proposals to deliver 99 flats, while Great Places Housing Group is expecting a decision on its plans to use the former Spire Manchester Hospital on Russell Road to deliver the UK’s first purpose-built LGBTQ+ majority extra care facility comprising 80 homes, and an additional 40 affordable homes.

Friday
