Wednesday
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ planning committee is expected to give a go-ahead to the regeneration of the 3.4-acre site known as the Whitechapel Road Life Sciences Cluster, E1. The Department of Health and Social Care will be looking to sell the scheme on receipt of planning permission.

Planning officers have also recommended the committee to approve Media tycoon Richard Desmond’s plans for the £1bn Westferry Printworks site, E14, on the Isle of Dogs. The latest proposal spans across 1,358 homes, including 379 affordable homes, and a five-storey secondary school.

The British Retail Consortium will announce its shop price index, giving an indication of just what direction the UK economy is heading in.

Thursday
Manchester Council planners have been recommended to approve Renaker’s proposed development of five residential towers in the city centre. The housebuilder lodged two separate applications in January last year, proposing to deliver a total of 2,388 homes.

The planning committee will also review proposals for Manchester Piccadilly bank-to-hotel conversion, to be delivered by Northside. If approved as per recommendation, the aparthotel comprising a mix of 251 studios, and one- and two-bedrooms, will be operated by room2.

Hotelier PPHE will release its interim results this morning. Fresh from finally getting consent for its planned redevelopment at 79-87 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1, and a bounce back in trading across the wider hotels market, the group is expected to deliver robust results.

Friday
The latest UK house price data from Nationwide building society will be revealed. In July, the annual average house price rose by 2.1% to £291,268. On a monthly basis, house prices went up 0.3%.
