Retail and leisure agent David Coffer has died at the age of 76. His family paid tribute to “a man of profound insight and intellect, lion-like determination and courage, and unrivalled kindness”, adding: “A supernova, his brightness will shine for decades on the many people whose lives he influenced.” Cadogan Estate chief executive Hugh Seaborn described Coffer as “a titan of the leisure property sector” with a “larger-than-life personality and unbending enthusiasm and ambition”.

The University of Cambridge has swapped its advisers midway through the disposal of a £300m development site just outside the city centre. JLL will take over from Cushman & Wakefield in closing the deal for the 2.7-acre site at 1-3 Hills Road, which is under offer to Longfellow Real Estate Partners.

Global marketing group Team Lewis has leased the top floor of 50 Electric Boulevard, SW8, on the Battersea Power Station estate. It will make the 10,500 sq ft office its new global headquarters, relocating from its current location at Millbank Tower.
