EG wins major award for transformative Future Female Leaders project

EG has won a major award for its Future Female Leaders initiative.

The project, which launched last year and saw 12 women from across the real estate deliver 10-minute, moving speeches at a packed out event in King’s Cross, has won the Best New Conference Award for up to 400 delegates at the annual Conference Awards.

The Conference Awards are hosted by the Global Conference Network and celebrate the very best in excellence in events and teams from across the globe.

EG was up against seven other new events in the battle for the award: the Saudi Arabian Family Enterprise Conference 2020 by Campden Wealth; Cogmentum Events’ FutureNet World, Contentive’s HRD Summit/US; Dennis Publishing’s Money Week Wealth Summit; Government Events’ Combatting Gangs, Violence & Weapon Crime; GovNet Communications’ GovTech 2019; and Risk.net’s Risk Live.

The Conference Awards judging panel said EG’s FFL programme had demonstrated the difference that events could make.

“What a great concept and what a difference it makes,” said the judges. “This event demonstrates the power of social media but more importantly the power of a live event. Investment in women to present should indeed encourage more participation, this was evidenced by the overwhelming response to the event registration.”

EG editor Samantha McClary said: “To have this programme recognised outside of the real estate sector as transformational and for making a difference is amazing. This event was born out of a rant but conceived with a purpose in mind: to showcase the hidden talent in real estate. It was designed to create a new generation of role models, to inspire, to lead and to entertain. I am so immensely proud of it, all of the truly wonderful Future Female Leaders – they were the stars of the show – the businesses that supported them and of course the amazing team at EG for bringing the event to life and to Ginger Public Speaking for delivering the a standout training programme.”

She added: “And of course, that was just the first FFL event. Season two will deliver their big performance in spring next year and season three is just around the corner. Both will be sure live up to this new award-winning brand.”
