EG Property Podcasts: This week’s agenda of EG audio intelligence

If you enjoy listening to EG’s journalists as much as you enjoy reading their words, then you’re probably already a regular listener to the EG Property Podcast.

This year, EG is focused on bringing you even more content on our podcast channel, not just as another step on our journey to become a more inclusive provider of news and intelligence to the real estate sector, but to bring you a different form of content to enjoy during these still tough and strange times.

Tuesday: A double whammy. EG’s legal editor Sarah Jackman brings you the latest episode of Bricks & Mortar – a conversation about taking the leap from asset management to proptech. And our monthly Resi Talks podcast is back, this week digging into calls for reform of the retirement living sector. A year in lockdown has shone a light on housing for the elderly, and as the industry steps up its demands from government, residential editor Emma Rosser asks what are the barriers to scale and what more is needed now.

Wednesday: Manchester has been one of the hardest hit cities by Covid in the UK, having been locked down for the longest. But the city is nothing if not resilient. Listen in to our interviews with Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, strategic director of development at Manchester City Council Louise Wyman and co-chair of Greater Manchester’s LEP Lou Cordwell to find out why Manchester is going to build back better. Recorded as part of our Future of Manchester event, you can read the coverage in this week’s issue of EG magazine and watch our dynamic production at https://www.egi.co.uk/thefutureofukcities/manchester/

Thursday: The first in a new five-part podcast collaboration in which EG editor Samantha McClary teams up with founder of Freestate Adam Scott to talk about real estate and development from an entirely different angle. This first episode of The New Methodology explores the role of culture in our built environment.

Sunday: The only way to round off a week is by downloading the EG Like Sunday Morning podcast and listening in to the EG team nattering about what has kept them busy over the past seven days.
