EG will be the first international media partner for New York City Real Estate Tech Week this autumn.
The event, now in its third year, will run from 2 to 13 October and will showcase the most forward-thinking start-ups, entrepreneurs and thought leaders as part of the world’s biggest real estate technology conference series.
Joining forces with the event organiser, US-based proptech accelerator Metaprop NYC, the partnership will cement EG’s position as a leading influencer in the real estate tech space.
A week-long programme will be anchored by the MIPIM PropTech Summit, connecting property players with start-ups and technology companies, and will also include the North American leg of the MIPIM Global Start-Up Competition.
Aaron Block, co-founder and managing director of Metaprop NYC, said: “New York City Real Estate Tech Week 2017 is substantially bigger and better this year, as we continue to attract the most exciting proptech organisations and individuals from around the city, nation and world to curate and hold events attracting the best real estate tech thinkers, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.
“This is the first time we have considered opening up any partnerships to an international organisation and we can’t think of anyone we would rather be involved with than EG. It is right in the thick of it throughout Europe and in the UK in the proptech sphere and we are happy it will be bringing that expertise to New York Real Estate Tech Week.”
Pete Kumposcht, executive director of EG, said: “EG has been focused on covering, reporting on and expanding our own suite of products that sit within the proptech sphere and this partnership reinforces our commitment to developing that presence on a global scale.
“New York is at the forefront of real estate technology innovation and this tie-up with Metaprop NYC and NYC Real Estate Tech Week highlights EG’s position as a key influencer within the sector in the UK, Europe and beyond.”
