The ninth annual Pedal for the J’s charity cycling event in Chelmsford, Essex, has raised £30,000.
More than 750 people took part in the ride, which has a choice of three routes covering 15, 35 or 50 miles.
The J’s Hospice provides care, respite and support to young adults with life limiting conditions.
The event was sponsored by Beaulieu Development.
PMA supports former colleague
The Property Managers Association has teamed up with Bowel Cancer UK and Beating Bowel Cancer to choose Bowel Cancer UK as its official charity for 2018.
Patrick Wymer, a former PMA member, retired at the end of January due to ill health from bowel cancer.
To raise awareness and funds for the charity, Wymer has spoken at various cancer events at the Welsh Assembly and Cardiff University.
On 3 May, seven former work colleagues and friends are aiming to raise £25,000 for Bowel Cancer UK and Velindre Cancer Centre by completing a 60-mile walk over the course of three days along the Pembrokeshire Coast.
Pegasus chairman prepares for RideLondon
The chairman of Pegasus Group, Stephen Bawtree, is taking part in the 100-mile Prudential Ride
London cycle for Hope for Tomorrow, a national charity based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
Part of a trio called #TEAMHOPE, they will ride from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London though Surrey, raising funds to help bring cancer care closer to patients’ homes via Hope’s Mobile Cancer Care Units.
End homelessness at LandAid 10k run
Join property peers on 7 June in Clapham Common, SW4, for the annual LandAid 10K and help end youth homelessness in the UK. There will also be a 5k fun run this year for participants just beginning their running journey.
JLL joins Circular Economy Taskforce
JLL has partnered with one of the Prince of Wales’ charities, Business in the Community, to help promote a circular economy in real estate. The firm met with Prince Charles and UK Secretary of State for the Environment, Michael Gove, to discuss how it can help eliminate waste and ensure all materials used in the built environment have a value at the end of their life. A circular approach could lower construction costs and waste management fees, improve building performance and increase innovation in the sector.
AF Advisory staff lend a hand
Employees from real estate adviser AF Advisory are helping London literacy charity Hackney Pirates. The group works to develop literacy confidence in young people. AF Advisory staff have provided support to the charity and helped it optimise its processes.
