EG Awards: winners

Westfield emerged as the big winner at this week’s Estates Gazette Awards, picking up two trophies for the opening of Stratford City scheme in September. The Australian developer was named Retail Property Company of the Year, while its UK team picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Property Award. Savills, dubbed an enviable machine by our judges, was named National Property Adviser of the Year, while Land Securities picked up the National Property Company of the Year Award. The awards, hosted by comedian Marcus Brigstocke and BBC News’ Louise Minchin, were held at the London Park Lane Hilton on Thursday night. Jones Lang LaSalle was named Industrial & Distribution Property Adviser of the Year following its merger with last year’s category winner, King Sturge. Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants was among the other winners, picking up first EG Occupier of the Year Award.
