More than 700 of the real estate industry’s finest gathered for the annual EG Awards at the Grosvenor House hotel last night to find out who was going to be crowned the best of the best.
Some 21 awards were handed out to those businesses, individuals, buildings and cities that had really impressed EG’s stellar collection of judges.
JLL and Savills were victorious in the agency awards, winning UK and Global adviser, respectively, while Commonwealth Games host Birmingham was EG’s UK City of the Year.
Frasers Property scooped the highly contested Employer Award, Regeneration Brainery won the Social Impact gong, while 25-year-old Akeel Malik from Urban Splash was crowned Rising Star.
SEGRO boss David Sleath’s stewardship of the UK’s largest listed real estate company and passion for purpose saw him take home the biggest prize of the night, EG’s Outstanding Individual Award.
