EG Awards 2020: the shortlist

For the past few years, EG has gathered a host of experts from across the industry at the BT Tower in London to comb through the hundreds of entries we get for the EG Awards.

Judges take in the 360-degree views of the capital as they debate, deliberate and drink copious amounts of coffee to come up with shortlists and winners for the awards. But not this year.

This year it was a case of BYOB (bring your own biscuit) as we spent a week on Teams calls with judges at their homes to pore over the entries. Some, as you’ll see, even gave us a little insight into what life in lockdown has been like for them – from getting the hang of parenthood, enjoying nature, spending time with their pooches and exercising their brains and bodies.

After much back and forth, our panels came up with a stellar shortlist and a cracking set of winners – but you’ll have to wait until 29 October to find out who was victorious. Judges were particularly tough this year, with only the very best of the best making it on to tight shortlists for each category.

Read on to see who is in the running for one of this year’s coveted EG Awards.
