Eddisons shelves London sales as Bailey leaves

Eddisons-THUMBEddisons has shelved its London sales after losing auctioneer Simon Bailey to Lambert Smith Hampton.

Bailey, who worked with just one other member of staff in London, has not been replaced.

Rob Limbert, director of property auctions at Eddisons’ Leeds office, said the London dates had been suspended for a “rethink about restructuring”.

The regional sales are going ahead as planned, including auctions in Manchester and Leeds later this month.

Bailey, who left the firm in mid-January, said he wanted to be part of a large, growing team rather than a “single-man entity”.

Eddisons was bought by insolvency specialist Begbies Traynor in December 2014 to provide expertise in disposals.
