Echelon Data Centres has kicked off its search for new tenants for its first campus development in London, covering 192,000 sq ft.
Echelon, which owns, develops and operates data centres, has appointed Knight Frank to secure occupiers for the facility.
The scheme, LCY10, is currently under construction and is located in the Docklands. It includes a circa 129,000 sq ft data centre building and more than 12,900 sq ft of office space.
Knight Frank is seeking to prelet to occupiers with requirements for 10,000 sq ft (1 megawatt) and above. The site is due to be operational in Q1 2021.
The campus could also be extended by up to 600,000 sq ft (60MW).
Stephen Beard, head of data centres at Knight Frank, said: “The market has seen a significant amount of Covid-related take-up leading to limited supply and LYC10 will help to alleviate some of this pressure.”
EG revealed earlier this month that lockdown has seen plans for data centres explode, with the number of applications for new data centres during this period surpassing 2019 figures.
According to EG Radius Exchange figures, the number of data centre plans lodged since lockdown began on 23 March totalled nearly 2.3m sq ft.
More data centre space was lodged in roughly three months than the whole of 2019, when more than 2m sq ft of plans were submitted.
