Duck hired for West End expansion

Strettons has hired the managing director of Brecker Grossmith, Nick Duck, to head up its new West End office.

Nick Duck has been appointed as Strettons’ head of West End, commercial investment agency. He joins after 16 years at Brecker Grossmith, where for the past 11 years he has been managing director.

Strettons is well known for its north and east London agency coverage as well as national auction and commercial management, but it has decided the opening of a West End office will bring the firm closer to key clients which operate out of central London.

Duck said: “In joining Strettons I feel like my career has come full circle. I started my property career with work experience at Strettons so I am delighted to be joining the team once again and looking forward to playing a major role in the firm’s continuing expansion.”

He will work at the new 7-10 Chandos Street office, W1, with John Shoesmith – previously principal of Edwin Evans in Battersea (until the firm was taken over by Strettons in 2003). Yoni Benari, who has been working with Strettons chairman, Benjamin Tobin, for the past five years acquiring investments for private clients, will also join the West End team, as does auction assistant Kim Wiggins.

The opening of the West End office incorporates the relocation of the Battersea auction office, which will now combine with the West End office.

Duck added: “I look forward to acting for Strettons’ existing clients and new clients we take on board as a result of this expansion.”
