Dominvs Group’s revised plans for a hotel-led development at the former Hammersmith Magistrates Court site, W6, have been approved by the council.
The majority of Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s planning committee resolved to grant permission yesterday for the scheme yesterday evening (21 July), after prolonged discussion.
The plans are subject to several conditions, including no contrary direction from the mayor for London.
However, councillors voted in favour of an amendment that would bring its construction and logistics plan back to the committee for oversight and approval.
Proposals comprised two hotel buildings offering a combined 842 bedrooms, as well as new public realm and ancillary restaurants. One of the hotel blocks would reach up to 23 storeys.
New plans were submitted in May after Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners replaced Dexter Moren as the architect on the scheme.
