Electrical and telecoms retailer Dixons Carphone has agreed a deal for a new 316,000 sq ft facility at DP World London Gateway, Essex.
It will occupy the logistics facility alongside UPS, Lidl and fruit importer SH Pratt.
Dixons Carphone will distribute to its South East outlets from the flexible logistics development site, which will include a dedicated customer service centre.
Oliver Treneman, park development director, DP World London Gateway, said: “Operating from this site will add value to Dixons Carphone’s supply chain operations, not least with the deep-sea port terminal located next to this facility.
“The port’s slick community network system, automation and ability to move containers from ship-to-shed in less than 24 hours will speed up Dixons Carphone’s supply chain and help to achieve a greener, more sustainable supply chain.”
