Developers scoop up Nottingham sites for £150m scheme

Peveril Securities and Sladen Estates have bought three city-centre sites to develop £150m of offices in Nottingham.

The duo aim to build 300,000 sq ft of prime office space at Albion House in Greyfriar Gate (pictured), Hanson House and Midland Scooter Centre in Collin Street, in the Southside region of the city.

They have launched pre-application discussions with Nottingham City Council to determine the best uses for the sites

Peveril Securities managing director Ralph Jones said: “The sites are suitable for a range of uses and could include a mix of office and residential space that will be complementary to the neighbouring use currently under development.”

The sites are adjacent to the part-built intu Broadmarsh, which was recently transferred to the council. Nottingham is currently considering options for the redevelopment.

The city acquisitions follow the partnership’s recent deal to acquire 34 acres of development land in Bicester, Oxfordshire, to develop a £350m office park and the 275,000 sq ft prelet off HMRC at their Unity Square office.
