Ambassador Group has lodged detailed plans for the second phase of a £250m waterfront neighbourhood at Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh.
The developer is seeking the council’s approval to deliver 580 new homes, comprising built-to-rent and for private sale, and public landscaped spaces that will sit alongside a remodelled Ocean Terminal. The move follows a 16-month consultation process.
Ocean Terminal comprises the former Debenhams store and a car park, measuring 420,000 sq ft, which Ambassador bought in March 2021, with the aim to transform it into an amenity, leisure, health and retail destination.
Plans for the first phase of project, which include the partial demolition and reconfiguration of the 20-year-old shopping centre, were approved in September.
