Deltic reignites advances on Revolution Bars as it snaps up 1.5m shares

Nightclub owner Deltic has reignited its advance on rival Revolution Bars after its merger attempt was spurned earlier this year.

Deltic, which owns 57 clubs under brands including PRYZM and Fiction, was knocked back last month by Revolutions board, which at the time was trying to see through a £100m approach by Slug & Lettuce owner Stonegate.

But now, just over a month after Revolution shareholders voted down the Stonegate bid, Deltic has snapped up a 3% stake in its would-be target equivalent to 1.5m shares. At the time of publication, Revolution shares were up 2.3% at 175p below the 200p price they listed at in March 2015.
