Deloitte has renewed its lease at its New Street Square headquarters, EC4, signing until 2036 at both buildings on the site.
The Landsec-owned site, which provides 485,000 sq ft of office space, has been the accountant’s UK home since 2007.
Stephen Griggs, a partner at Deloitte, said hybrid working had “changed the purpose of our offices,” adding that employees wanted to use them for “collaboration, connection and wellbeing”.
“We continue to explore ideas for transforming our offices across the UK with new technology to make it easier for our people to work together and with clients either in person or virtually.”
Earlier this week, Deloitte’s Manchester-based partner explained to EG the thinking behind a major office lease it signed in the northern city.
“The space of the future will be different to the space of today,” he said. “Whatever we will do in terms of our permanent space, it has to respond to the new demands of our people and clients.
