Dandara’s 435-home Bristol BTR scheme tipped for approval

Dandara Living has received a recommendation for approval for its plans to develop a 435-home build-to-rent scheme in Bristol.

The site is the former Robins & Day Peugeot car dealership on Clarence Road and Victoria House office building on Temple Gate, located opposite Bristol Temple Meads station. Dandara submitted the plans in January 2023

The proposed scheme includes buildings of up to 15 storeys, a rooftop terrace and amenities such as a residents’ lounge, gym, workspaces and cycle storage.

The homes are a mix of one- to three-bedroom flats, and Dandara has also proposed to provide 8,000 sq ft of commercial space on the ground floor.

The two-acre site was identified in the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone and St Philip’s Marsh Masterplan as a prime opportunity for redevelopment to deliver a gateway building into the city centre.

Bristol City Council will discuss the application during a planning meeting on 18 September.
