Cycle to MIPIM 2018: Wet, windy but well worth it

This year was the 13th edition of the Cycle to Mipim. You could say it was unlucky for some; a few sore bums, a little tumble or two. Weatherwise, it was definitely unlucky for all.

After years of being blessed with blue skies and early season tanlines, this year riders on the event had to face unbearable headwinds and torrential downpours. And this year, snow too on a new prelude to the big ride, Legal & General Real Assets’ Northern Powerhouse leg – a two day epic from Leeds to London.

But the trials and tribulations riders had to endure as they relayed their way from central London to the Croisette in Cannes, were nothing compared to the suffering thousands of children go through before they are helped and found forever homes by Coram, the principal beneficiary of the ride.
