Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Henry Fellows as its new head of central London development.
Fellows joins from Newmark-owned Gerald Eve, where he moved to less than a year ago from CBRE.
Martin Lay, head of London office capital markets at Cushman, said: “Much of London’s building stock is at a critical juncture where the need to adapt, evolve or recalibrate is accelerating if it is to avoid obsolescence in the face of rising occupier expectations.
“Henry has an exceptional track record in working with landowners to maximise the value of their assets and we are very excited to have him join the team and offer our clients his wealth of experience.”
Fellows added that he was looking forward to working alongside Cushman’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver “best value outcomes” for landowners.
“The confluence of significant structural change and ageing stock is creating sizeable opportunities for landowners in the London market looking to exploit the premium for creating best-in-class product,” he said.
Fellows has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, with stints at JLL and Capital Real Estate Partners before CBRE and Gerald Eve. Projects he has worked on include the sale of Berkshire House, WC1, on behalf of Abrdn and the marketing of 65 Fleet Street, EC4, for investor JMI Global.
