Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE were battling it out in the competition to top the most leaderboards in the EG Radius On-Demand Rankings of space transacted in 2021.
The rankings, based on data supplied directly by the EG Radius community of agents, show which firms and individuals have been the most active across the UK.
Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE were top of the list on the greatest number of rankings, with Cushman taking the lead for most office space transacted nationally (5.8m sq ft*) and CBRE coming out on top for industrial with 15.2m sq ft of deals transacted.
Cushman also topped the league in the West End, Docklands and Midtown leasing, Greater London and the South East, while CBRE led in the Midlands, the North West and Scotland. Andrew Byrne, a director in CBRE’s Liverpool office, was the most active office agent, advising on 110 deals in 2021.
Nationally, Savills led the retail leaderboard, undertaking 1.5m sq ft of deals, while Christie & Co led the hotels & leisure rankings.
While the big agents may lead nationally, the county rankings also reveal a strong year for many regional agents.
