Countryside and housing association Notting Hill Housing have entered into a partnership to deliver 911 homes for sale and market rent at Fresh Wharf in Barking, east London.
Folio London, Notting Hill Housing’s private rent subsidiary, has agreed to acquire 157 PRS homes from the joint venture.
The development will also include space for leisure, commercial and community uses, alongside a new park.
Work on site will start in 2018 and the project is set to be completed in 2026.
Graham Cherry, chief executive of Countryside Partnerships South, said: “This is an exciting new development in an increasingly popular London location. The site is identified as one of the largest residential sites within the Barking Town Centre Area Action Plan, which makes a significant contribution towards the council’s target of some 6,000 new homes.”
