Sheffield city council deputy leader Leigh Bramall has told Estates Gazette that Sheffield will use powers from devolution and investment into transport, digital infrastructure and its thriving city centre to lure talent away from London.
Bramall said devolution would empower the city to actively and positively shape the agenda, citing the Sheffield Investment Fund as one way it can work with the private sector by using council-backed assets in partnership with private developers to help de-risk sites for private-sector investment.
