Cording Real Estate Group has hired James Whidborne from Savills Investment Management.
Whidborne joins as head of UK residential fund management at the firm, which is a member of the Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate investment management platform.
He will have oversight of Cording’s two existing private rental sector funds, Cording UK Residential Investment Fund and PRS Club 1, while also helping to grow new residential investment products.
The team is currently developing build-to-rent schemes in Nottingham, Warrington and Leicester.
At Savills IM, Whidborne was a director in the fund management team, with responsibility for two development-led residential funds and a strategic land fund.
Before working in fund management Whidborne worked at Savills in its affordable housing consultancy team.
