West Country-based planning specialist Roger Tym and Partners has been called in to help with the redevelopment of Swansea city centre.
The firm is to head a consortium of consultants – including BDP, Donaldsons and Arup - which will look at reshaping the South Wales city.
The Welsh Development Agency has commissioned the consortium to look at Swansea’s urban design, transport, environmental issues, accessibility and community development in addition to retail and leisure.
Chris Holley, Leader of Swansea Council said, “The choice of consultants is significant because they have a proven track record of developing projects that are ambitious, realistic and deliverable.”
John Forsyth, of Roger Tym and Partners, added, “Swansea is a fascinating city with huge potential and we have got a team of experts who are very much looking forward to working together and with the stakeholders in the city.”
