Clearbell gets the go-ahead to revamp former Kodak HQ

Clearbell Capital has been given the nod to revamp Kodak’s old London headquarters, 65 Kingsway, WC2.

The 70,440sq ft office building was acquired by Clearbell in May last year. The firm will now refurbish the entire site to upgrade the space.

The seven-storey Grade II listed Art Deco building will see a new entrance built, a new roof terrace, new lifts and bike storage.

Work on site will start in the summer.

Nick Berry, partner at Clearbell, said: “Kodak House is well-located for tenants from a variety of sectors drawn to the Midtown area, and our planned works will transform this listed building into an attractive, energy efficient and modern space.

“We are committed to proceeding with construction at the site, as we hope to see demand pick up when Covid-19 restrictions lift and businesses are able to take longer term decisions.”
