Cisco Reading move rebuffs UK cutback rumours

Cisco Systems has exercised the first of three options at Prudential’s GreenPark in Reading by firmly committing to a 9,754 sq m (105,000 sq ft) office building.

The move to take 350 Longwater Avenue (pictured) dispels rumours that the slowing economy in the US would lead to a cutback in Cisco’s UK expansion plans.

The building, which was designed for Cisco by architect RHWL, will be taken in addition to the 55,740 sq m (600,000 sq ft) pre-let agreed last summer. Two further options relating to a further 50,631 sq m (545,000 sq ft) can be exercised up until early 2003.
