Red Construction’s Graham Sturge, Slawo Urban and James Ferdinando completed this year’s London Marathon on a socially distanced route around Bedford, raising £3,700 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The donation marks the firm’s ongoing support for PCUK. In 2019, Sturge (pictured), who is an ambassador for the charity, raised more than £35,000 by completing all of the major global marathons – Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York.
Jumping for peace
A group of colleagues from HTA Design have raised £7,500 in a charity skydive. The five daredevils – Mike De’Ath, Tanatswa Borerwe, Mattie Gately-O’Neill, Julius Murinde and Rob Michel – made the jump on 18 October to raise money to help Newham youth group Fight for Peace build a peace garden.
HTA has so far helped raise £25,000 towards the project.
