A sold-out PropSki last month saw 425 UK property professionals head to Chamonix in the French Alps.
Record numbers attended this year’s event, taking over the impressive Folie Douce Hotel for the first time. There was a wide range of ages and seniority levels among the attendees this year, from 20 to 72 year olds and from graduates to chief executives.
As well as networking and racing (see table), there was an increased emphasis on business this year. EG has supported the event since its inception, and this year again ran a successful Question Time session after a competitive day’s skiing.
Jonathan Goring, group development director at U+I, Nigel Mapp, chief executive of Mapp, Julanne Minster, senior vice president at Delos, and Jason Sibthorpe, principal and president of Avison Young UK, all took questions from guests on a range of topics – from wellbeing and inclusion to Brexit and sustainability.
PropSki, in partnership with EG, has expanded its events programme to include sessions focused on client entertainment, team building and networking.
More than £20,000 was raised at the mountain meal auction and raffle for charities, including LandAid, taking the total raised for charity since the event was launched to more than £100,000.
The events portfolio has grown to include PropKart in May, PropSail in June, PropRow in July and PropShoot in September, which also raise money for charitable causes.
