Charity and social: FirstPort tablets boot up Malawi school computer lab

FirstPort has donated equipment for a new computer lab at Ntchuwa Primary School in Salima District, Malawi. The property management company donated 68 tablet computers to the Turing Trust, which the trust reprogrammed and sent to Ntchuwa Primary School. The devices will be used to teach IT skills to more than 500 students per year.

The Turing Trust was formed by the family of mathematician Alan Turing, and the charity honours his contribution to the early years of computing by providing IT resources and training to schools in sub-Saharan Africa.
