Building People uses crowdfunding to boost inclusivity

Building People has raised £18,000 through a crowdfunding campaign it launched in October. The purpose of the social enterprise campaign is to make the built environment more inclusive, with a platform that enables employers to widen their talent pools by connecting diverse talent to vacancies, information, activities and resources.

The initiative received support from all sectors of the industry, including BRE Group, the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants, Hopkins Architects, the Building Engineering Services Association and Hollis.

The funds raised from the campaign will enable Building People to continue to create connections across the built environment, with a particular focus on supporting, enabling and growing membership of its Communities network.
