The team at Berkeley Homes West Thames has raised £21,000 through a variety of fundraising activities for Hope for Southall Street Homeless, bringing the total amount raised by the housebuilder for the west London charity to £120,000 during its three-year partnership.
Berkeley’s support for Hope for Southall Street Homeless is part of the Berkeley Foundation’s work with the voluntary sector to help people in London, Birmingham and the south of England overcome barriers, improve their lives and build a fairer society.
Eat out to help out with LandAid and StreetSmart
LandAid is partnering with StreetSmart this winter though its restaurant initiative to tackle homelessness.
During the festive months of November and December, participating StreetSmart restaurants will add a voluntary £1 donation to diners’ bills, with all the proceeds going to support homelessness projects within the local area.
StreetSmart has raised more than £10m since its foundation in 1998 and has benefited more than 50 homelessness charities each year, with funds supporting services such as the creation of beds, housing advice, and training and job support.
