Charity and social: A peek into hidden London

The property sector championed last month’s Open House London 2020 by opening up iconic buildings to showcase the city’s architecture, heritage and open spaces to the public.

The event, backed by the London Property Alliance, attracted nearly 40,000 people for socially distanced tours of buildings including the Supreme Court, New Scotland Yard, London Wall Place and the Foreign Office.


Savills sows seeds of sustainability

Savills has pledged to sponsor 17 vertical-farming tower gardens in state primary schools across the UK. Working with non-profit organisation Rethink Food, the firm will fund the installation of the farming towers accompanied by a year-long education programme to teach pupils about growing food and sustainability.


Around the world for Black History Month

The planning and development team at Deloitte Real Estate are raising funds for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust during October as part of Black History Month. The team aims to swim, walk, run or cycle 24,901 miles – a distance equivalent to circumnavigating the globe.

Adam’s marathon effort

Savills’ Adam Bray has raised more than £6,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association after completing the 2020 “virtual” London Marathon in memory of his colleague Alex Dawson, who died earlier this year.
