Centerview Partners signs for Lucent

Landsec has prelet 19,500 sq ft at its Lucent office scheme, located behind Piccadilly Circus, W1, to Centerview Partners.

The investment banking and advisory firm will occupy the sixth floor of Lucent’s site next summer when the building completes. The move will more than double its footprint from its current space in Pall Mall.

The building will offer 120,000 sq ft of offices across six floors, alongside 21,000 sq ft of shops and restaurants.

Lucent is targeting Gold WELL accreditation, with 20 outdoor terraces, more than 600 plants and a three-storey green wall.

Oliver Knight, head of offices at Landsec, said it had seen sustained demand for best-in-class offices and is hopeful that “despite macro headwinds, demand for best in class workspaces will continue”.

He said: “Businesses and their employees expect more from their workspaces and are increasingly drawn to prime locations, where high quality offices are seamlessly connected to world class hospitality, retail and leisure.

“They are also thinking more about the role their office can play in driving productivity, attracting and retaining talent, and helping them to meet their ESG targets. Spaces like Lucent, where wellbeing, sustainability and amenities combine, mean we are well primed to work in partnership with businesses to meet their evolving needs.”

The news comes after Landsec signed 23,000 sq ft of offices with Cynergy Bank at One New Change, EC4, and 40,000 sq ft at n2 in Victoria for QRT.

Landsec was advised by CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield on the deal. Centerview Partners was advised by TP Consult. The building, which is due to complete in summer 2023, has been designed by architects Fletcher Priest. Construction is by Wates.
