CBREI signs trio of lettings in Birmingham

CBRE Investors has scored a trio of lettings at its Quayside development on Broad Street, Birmingham.

A total of over 20,000 sq ft has been let at the 20-storey tower.

Serviced office space provider Regus has taken 12,636 sq ft at the development, on the second and third floors, its seventh business centre in the city. Regus has a 10-year lease at an undisclosed rent.

Signalling Solutions has taken 6,318 sq ft on a 10-year lease with a five year break, at a rent of £18 per sq ft.

While private investment company Honister Capital has signed up for 4,188 sq ft on a  three-year lease at £17 per sq ft.

Around a third of the office space at the 97,000 sq ft building remains available to let.

Jamie Spires, surveyor at CB Richard Ellis, said: “Getting 23,000 sq ft of space away in the current climate is a tough call, but CBRE Investors’ willingness to talk on both rent and lease terms has paid dividends.

“Occupiers of the Quayside tower can gaze down on their Brindleyplace counterparts in the knowledge that they are paying around a quarter less for the same Broad Street address.”
