CBRE has hired Edinburgh-based Cushman & Wakefield partner Angela Lowe as a senior director.
Lowe leaves Cushman, where she has worked since 1999, in the wake of the company’s takeover by DTZ.
She will join CBRE’s Edinburgh office after a period of gardening leave.
Her clients include developers, landlords and occupiers with a focus on the east of Scotland.
Among her notable recent deals was the disposal of 80,000 sq ft to BlackRock at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership’s 1 Exchange Place in Edinburgh in 2012.
Stewart Taylor, senior director at CBRE, said: “I am pleased to confirm that Angela Lowe will be joining CBRE to work with the national agency and development team in our Edinburgh office. Angela, who is currently a partner at Cushman & Wakefield, will bring a wealth of experience within the Edinburgh market and will considerably strengthen our presence in the sector.
“Angela is currently discussing her notice period with Cushman & Wakefield but we anticipate welcoming her to CBRE before the end of the year.”
David Davidson, managing director, Cushman & Wakefield, Scotland, said: “I can confirm that Angela has decided to move on. Cushman & Wakefield and DTZ will continue to run separately in Scotland until the merger completes in December.
Stuart Dorward, current business manager, DTZ, and Davidson will be taking a joint leadership over Scotland until further announcements.
