Catalyst Bicester tech park expansion gets the go ahead

Albion Land has been given the green light to deliver the fourth phase of expansion at Catalyst Bicester technology and innovation park in Oxfordshire.

The next phase of development, which has a gross development value of £55m, will see the construction of 128,000 sq ft of employment space across three buildings fronting the A41.

The expansion, designed by architect Cornish, comes amid demand driven by the growth of Oxfordshire’s innovation and technology sector.

Construction of Catalyst Bicester started in 2021 and phases one and two are fully built out and let, with phase three scheduled for construction in 2025 to provide a further 110,000 sq ft across five buildings.

Simon Parsons, director at Albion Land, said: “These bespoke new buildings will provide outstanding workspace for companies who want to join the Catalyst Bicester success story and benefit from everything Albion Land is doing to enhance the Bicester technology ecosystem.

“We are keen to get going so that we can bring these buildings forward to meet the strong levels of occupier demand.”

Quod advised Albion Land on the phase four planning application.
