Canary Wharf Group has revealed plans for a major mixed-use scheme at North Quay, E14, a long-vacant site to the north of its estate and adjacent to the new Crossrail station.

Planning is already in place for the site, granted in 2007 for an office-led scheme comprising two towers of 43 storeys and 37 storeys, with a central link building to provide 375,000 sq m of offices as well as 5,000 sq m of retail in total.

However, the group has now put out plans for consultation for office and residential towers on the site, along with a substantial retail element. Foster + Partners is designing the proposed scheme; Quod is the planning consultant.

The group is expecting to submit a planning application in spring 2017.
