Canada Water co-living scheme set for approval

Soco Real Estate and Blue Coast Capital are set to receive planning permission from Southwark Council for a 216-bed co-living scheme in Canada Water, SE16.

The proposed mixed-use scheme comprises two buildings on the site of the existing three-storey City Business Centre.

It includes a 16-storey building, along with 24 affordable flats in a separate building of nine storeys.

The joint venture has also proposed 20,000 sq ft of commercial, food and beverage and retail and co-working space on the ground floor.

The site is allocated for comprehensive redevelopment with planning designations under Southwark Site Allocation, the Canada Water Area Action Plan tall buildings zone and the Canada Water Opportunity Area.
